Beyond the Pale.

Beyond the Pale.

It’s the time of year where the line between Winter and Spring becomes thin enough to simply jump right over. Mostly out of stir crazy insanity . . .okay, mostly because I can’t tolerate such pasty whiteness. Time to bronze.

Exfoliation is crucial to not looking like a cakey, streaky mess, so prior to tanning, whip up a batch of brown sugar scrub to smooth things out!!

  • 1 Cup Brown Sugar
  • 1/2 Cup Olive Oil
  • 1 tsp Vitamin E

Apply scrub to freshly cleansed, damp skin in a circular motion. The sugar granules with remove dead skin and the olive oil will moisturize . . .leaving you perfectly hydrated and smooth. Rinse and dry thoroughly, leaving no oil on the skin’s surface. (That oil may feel great, but it will interfere with the self tanner if it’s not rinsed off completely!)

This gel formula is as close to fool proof as I’ve ever seen.  Clarins Self Tanning Instant Gel ($30)  forumla is transparent, but the weight of the gel lets you feel exactly where you may have missed any areas. So, not a streak in sight. The color is the most natural looking self tanning hue I’ve ever seen. Oompah-loompah’s be gone.

Now, run . . .be free . . .you non-pasty glowing sun goddess you!!!

Have a Beautiful Day!!
