I was recently wandering through the warehouse of antiquities and delightfulness also known as the Stratford Antique Center last week (with my dear mother I might add) and since a large portion of my readers are brides, I just HAD to share what I found. This place truly is a event DIY-er’s dream . . step inside and all around you will be a bevy of vintage hankercheifs. . . lanterns. . .glass bottles . . .vintage pocketbooks and fancy clutches . . .a treasure trove of baubles for your bridesmaids and brooches for bouquets . . .galvanized tubs for your beverages and baskets galore. I couldn’t stop snapping pics and am glad I wasn’t thrown out for being such a weirdo . . .especially when I was arranging pocketbooks on the carpet for a photo-op. : D
A sampling of the goods for the wedding planner in all of us:
Even if you are not an event DIY-er, the Stratford Antique Center is a must visit!! They have gorgeous furniture (including a french dining table that I was literally drooling over) chandeliers, mirrors, antique silver . . .I can’t wait to go back!
(Stratford Antique Center is located at: 400 Honeyspot Road, Stratford, Connecticut)
Happy planning to my brides to be, and to everyone please have a beautiful day!
