Shall I compare thee to a summer’s day? No. Not until you wash your face for REALSY.
Allow me to explain.
I see a lot of clients with sad & patchy skin . . .uneven texture . . .clogged pores . . .and they all say “Woe is me” and I say “Doest thou wash thine face” and they say “Aye, I doth wipe off my makeup in great haste before bed” and I say this:
Taking off your makeup is not cleaning your skin. Cleaning your skin is cleaning your skin. A little redundant I know. . . but seriously. . . taking off your makeup (a good thing!!) is not – I repeat NOT – the same as cleaning your skin! In fact, you are actually pushing makeup into your pores with every swipe of the baby wipe cleansing approach. Shudder. Your skin, no matter what your age, needs to be purified of all cosmetic and environmental sludge every.single.night. Cleaning your skin of all that yuckiness is a two step process – albeit an easy one. Thou shalt dissolve all makeup and follow with a cleanse. Bonus points for exfoliating.
